It is also an important language of the United Nations, NATO, International Red Cross, the European Community, and the International Olympic Committee, among others. Being able to speak both English and French will make you more qualified for positions with many of these organizations over someone who only knows one of these languages.

Some locations offer French speaking lessons, but they can be expensive and may not fit into your schedule. There are a few helpful tips to keep in mind when learning French.
